I was so sick over the last few days and knew my body needed a smoothie worthy of Popeye.

I packed a punch with not just spinach, but also Chlorella PowderSpirulina Powder, wild blueberries and Resveratrol Powder (for extra credit).

With a sore throat, I did not feel like eating much, but with a cool smoothie, I was able to get in the vitamins and minerals my body was craving.

Expect a smoothie loaded with goodness, but light on sweetness.

Mineral Magic Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup spinach
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 slice lemon juice of
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp resveratrol powder
  • 1/4 tsp spirulina powder
  • 1/4 tsp chlorella powder
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/8 cup wild blueberries frozen or raw
  • 2 whole dates pit removed

Instructions

  • Pour water into Vitamix and add lemon juice and all powder ingredients (turmeric, spirulina, chlorella, and resveratrol). 
  • Add spinach, avocado, blueberries, and dates.
  • Place a lid on the Vitamix and turn on, gradually turning the speed up to level 4-5. Blend for less than a minute until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
