FAQs

Q: What does “holistic” mean?

A: ho·lis·tic /hōˈlistik/ adjective:

Relating to the whole of something or to the total system instead of just its parts. “Holistic” attempts to treat the whole person, including mind and body, not just the condition, injury, or disease.

Q: How is holistic health coaching different than standard health coaching?

A: Holistic health coaching includes all wellness aspects in achieving optimal health; the entire being.

Unlike other coaching programs which solely focus on diet and exercise alone, there is a deep dive into all factors impacting your health journey.

This explains why many never fully realize their health goals. We are far more complex, unique, and nuanced than just looking at the foods we do or do not eat, which reflects in the results one experiences.

The work includes engaging all of the body’s systems to heal vs. looking at just the digestive system, for example. Additionally, we have to unveil and address the root cause(s) of why you are experiencing symptoms, weight gain, disease, etc. in order to correct and prevent it from happening again.

Q: Do you accept clients outside of California?

A: Yes, I work with clients nationally and internationally.

Q: Am I ready for transformation?

A: As much as we want to change for the better and achieve optimal health, if it were “easy”, everyone would be able to do it; achieve remission, find complete healing, discover radical self-improvement, experience weight loss, improved definition, an authentic sense of self, and much more.

Ask yourself if you are ready to step into your power. Not someday, but now. If you really want to change, you will not just find a way, you will make a way. Nothing will stand in your way. It is important to know this is simply a decision.

This decision is the first step towards optimal health and will determine the quality of your life.

You will be guided in your journey, but you must take the first step towards self-actualization and doing things differently than you ever have before. To get the results you seek, you have to change what you are doing currently and invest time, energy, money, etc. just as with any other endeavor or achievement in life.

You will have the care, support, and guidance, it just takes that initial step towards your true self.

Q: Do you work alongside doctors?

A: In some cases, yes, depending on the client. It is not necessary to work alongside a doctor, but if your condition is such that your physician would like to be involved, it can be a wonderful collaboration. Some clients desire to eliminate or wean off medications naturally. As your condition improves, you will still need your doctor’s approval to do so. I also invite clients to do lab work prior to working together as well as after working together. A comprehensive blood panel is an incredibly powerful and rewarding series of metrics to see your markers positively change with the work you put into your journey. The body is truly a miracle and will work for you if you know how to work with it!

Q: Can you beat autoimmune disease naturally?

A: The medical community acknowledges remission vs. definitive healing. In discovering unique alignment to your body’s needs, you can experience what is called “remission”. In other words, you can experience optimal health, eliminate all symptoms, prevent flares from ever happening, feel “normal” again, regain energy, and more by committing to a lifestyle that keeps you in a state of remission. Should you fall back on old habits and ways that activated your condition in the first place, your health will once again suffer.

I have been in a state of remission from Lupus and Hashimoto’s for many years. I feel normal and have been able to eliminate symptoms and markers, while reversing conditions (hair loss, skin pigmentation from sun sensitivity, and much more).

It has been easy to maintain, as I have learned the path I need to walk and now teach the same to my clients. It is well worth the journey to learn (and live it), as all aspects of your life improve when you feel like yourself again.

Q: What is remission?

A: Complete remission means that tests, physical exams, and scans show that all signs of your condition are gone. This is also reflected in your physical strength, appearance, energy levels, and more.

Q: Do you work with men?

A: Yes, but as with any potential client there must be alignment. In my inquiry form an invitation is extended to work with me only if it is a good fit for us both.

Q: Why work with Cristy?

A: As your coach, it is my personal mission to guide you to optimal health; your fullest expression and unique expansion. I am intimately connected to the work we do together. I care… deeply. In my journey, I wish I had someone I could turn to, which is why I began my coaching path; to help others.

Save precious years of life instead of chasing bandaid solutions, medications, and living a subpar existence; overweight, energy-deprived, in pain, unable to see the sun, and more. It is time to live your life fully without conditions determining the trajectory of your life.

In working together, you will discover the healing path to be supportive, loving, compassionate, incredibly liberating, and even fun! The process is incremental and gentle, not overwhelming, exhausting, and impossible to maintain.

What differentiates my work from other coaches is the emphasis of co-creating a life that is authentic and enjoyable to you, while supporting you in attaining and maintaining the results you seek.

Additionally, every step of the way is intentional. You will learn the “why” and health benefits behind each instentional aspect implemented. I believe when you know the “why” you are even more compelled to move forward in your journey with 100% intention.

Q: What is your methodology?

A: There is much to this question, which makes it challenging to answer in a few sentences!

From a high-level perspective, my methodology is designed to reveal and address the root cause(s) of inflammation, health concerns, conditions, symptoms, and issues. Without discovering the root, how are we to heal or create the change we seek?

As we discover the root cause(s), we also “get back to our roots” to heal. In other words, we follow the path our great grandmother  would have essentially walked.

I believe in a holistic approach to health, in that it encompasses and covers all aspects of wellness – nutrition, mindset, environmental, habit formation, elemental healing, stress management, movement, spiritual aspects, and beyond. Essentially, healing is within the trifecta; mind, body, and spirit.

Each client is entirely unique, which is how I approach my work. Each person has their individual strengths, challenges, concerns, and insights. That said, the 1:1 coaching dynamic is a custom approach, as each person is treated as an individual with an individual set of circumstances.

Lastly, I believe the healing journey is not scary, intimidating, or even “hard”. I understand not knowing what lies ahead can initially feel that way. Rather, it’s different and enlightening. The beauty in healing is discovering who you really are, which is what we co-create.

In perfect alignment, you finally discover optimal health, which is your birthright.

Q: How do you accept payment for services?

A:  I accept debit and credit cards and have flexible payment options.

Please also check with your employer for options to partially or fully pay for your coaching experience. I have had some clients whose employers offer incentives for their employees for training; personal development, learning opportunities, and experiences that have been fully or partially covered.

When you are healthy, you perform better and are more productive in life and at work.
