How about adding lavender to your diet as a nutritious staple? Not sure where to start? Try making a homemade Herbes de Provence for added “Je ne sais quoi” to any dish. It’s an aromatic and addictive mixture of herbs that can be added to roasted chicken, vegetable dishes or even salads!
Herbes de Provence wouldn’t be herbes de Provence if it didn’t have lavender… however, you can play with all of the other herbs! Try making different renditions to mix up this collection of flavors. Note, that herbes de Provence in stores can be extremely pricey, so making it at home is a worthwhile investment!
Here are some ideas of different Provençal herbs to try: marjoram, sage, basil, thyme, savory, rosemary, mint, oregano, tarragon, parsley, and fennel seeds.
